Participation and Eligibility

  • 20 participants maximum (early career scientists and students).

    NO Abstract submission, NO Registration Fee Payment is required.

  • Preference will be given to applicants from PICES member countries, but are open to others, especially North Pacific rim.

  • Early career scientists (within 5 years of receiving their Ph.D.) and scientists from countries with ‘economies in transition’.

  • We encourage participants whose research is related to or will benefit from the curriculum content.


Steps for Application

  • All applicants should submit the following TWO DOCUMENTS:
    1. A CV (including Name, Affiliation, Gender, and Email address); and
    2. A COVER LETTER outlining the applicants motivation for participating in this spring school and describing the necessity for traveling funding to join this school.

  • Deadline for submitting the two essential documents is November 15, 2019

  • Email your (1) and (2) documents

If we receive more than 20 applications, the selection committee will select up to 20 the participants (depending on the number of beds available on the vessel).
