Registration

We urge interested participants to PRE-REGISTER (sign up) for the meeting as early as possible, for planning PICES events more efficiently.

Pre-registration is important as it will add your record to our database (for Book of Abstracts, Name Tags, etc.)

Pre-registration does not require an immediate payment; however, to take advantage of the Early Registration Fee you must pay before the deadline (see the table below). Registration is not considered complete until the registration fee is received.

In order to take advantage of the early registration fee rate, payment must be made before the end of the Early Registration period.

Registrant Types (selected during on-line registration process):

These are the Registrant Types to select from during your on-line meeting registration process:

  1. Regular Participant
An in-person Symposium participant (for 1+ days, with or without presentation (contributed talk/poster), who does not fall into any of the categories listed below.

  2. Invited Speaker (Symposium Plenary or Session Invited)
A special speaker invited by the Symposium or Session convenors to give a talk, with a guaranteed allocated time slot. This should NOT be confused with a contributed speaker, whose presentation undergoes selection and approval after all abstracts are submitted. Example: PICES-2025 Officially Invited speakers
All Officially Invited Speakers will be listed on the Program page (TBA).

  3. Convenor
A Convenor is a session chair (with or without a contributed talk). All Convenors are listed on the Program page.

  4. Convenor AND Invited Speaker
A participant who combines both roles (2) and (3) - see above.

  5. Organizer
A participant (with or without a contributed talk) who belongs to the Convening Committee, Program Committee, Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and who is NOT a "Convenor" or "Invited Speaker".

  6. Guest
Guest is a person accompanying a symposium participant, such as spouses and children over 14; guest cannot attend the sessions, but can attend the coffee breaks, reception(s) and other public events.

Guests cannot register themselves. A symposium participant registers and pays for their guest(s) a Guest Registration fee
