Limited funds are available to assist early career scientists (less than 35 years of age or less than 5 year post PhD) and researchers from developing countries to attend the symposium.

All applicants should receive a notification email from the organizers regarding the status of their financial support application (granted or not granted).
PICES emails end up in your junk box or get rejected. Please contact Christina Chiu at your earliest convenience if your do not receive a notification email by the time specified in the right-side column "Important Dates" of this page.
Confirm Your Financial Support Acceptance:
When your receive a Financial Support Notification email, please confirm your Grant Acceptance. To confirm, simply reply to an email: specify your name and let us know if you are accepting the grant. If your financial support application has not been approved, please let us know if you are still going to attend the symposium and present your paper.
HOW TO RECEIVE YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT:
Early career scientist travel grants can only be transferred to the selected participants when they arrive on site.
Please note that symposium organizers cannot reimburse travel expense losses due to COVID or other reasons, and this coverage and travel insurance protections should be supported by the home institutions of the symposium participants. As such, you are strongly encouraged to discuss your travel arrangements with your home institutions prior to booking travel and accommodation, and wherever feasible, book refundable options. The grant is contingent on in person attendance at a physical symposium.
