General Informaiton

Valid passports are required. Entry visas may be necessary depending on the participant's nationality. Please refer to the website http://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/index.html.

Request an Invitation Letter for Visa Application:

Fill out and send the FORM (xls) and the scanned PASSPORT PAGE with your PHOTO (pdf / jpeg / png format) to Dr. Tetsuo Fujii (mseas2024-visa@fra.go.jp)

Note: Letters for Visa applications will only be provided for people who have pre-registered for the symposium. Payment is not required at this time.

Apply for Visa (processing time varies):

After receiving an invitation letter, submit your VISA application at the Japanese Embassy or any Japanese Consulate in your country.

Deadline for invitation letter request

Please note that new requests for letters will NOT be accepted after April 15, 2024, due to the time required to obtain an official government-issued invitation letter and deliver the original hard copy to the applicant.

Please send your request form as soon as possible before the deadline, even if your travel arrangements are not finalized.
