The symposium website banner is drawn based on original illustrations by Harry and Joan Crosby, from Harry Crosby’s book: “The Cave Paintings of Baja California: Discovering the Great Murals of an Unknown People”, published by Sunbelt Publications, Inc. This publication describes comprehensively prehistoric Baja, Mexico cave drawings. We are grateful for the authorization to reproduce some of these drawings (shown below), generously granted by Sunbelt Publications Inc., Chula Vista, California. Permission to use the background photograph of the Baja cave paintings of Mantra Ray was kindly provided by the Bradshaw Foundation. The reproduction of the images is in accordance the Federal Law of Monuments, Archaeological Zones, Art, and History, as agreed by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) of Mexico.
