GETTING TO LA PAZ: BY AIR
Option A: Fly Directly to La Paz (LAP)
La Paz Manuel Márquez de León International Airport (LAP)
is
located approximately 11 km southwest of the city center.
It offers regular non-stop flights from major Mexican hubs, including Mexico City, Tijuana, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Hermosillo, and Mazatlán,
primarily operated by Aeroméxico, Volaris, and VivaAerobus.
From the United States
The most convenient option is flying with
Volaris from Tijuana International Airport (TIJ).
TIJ is connected to San Diego via the
Cross Border Xpress (CBX) — a secure pedestrian bridge that allows travelers to cross directly into the airport terminal, avoiding long U.S.–Mexico border lines.

Option B: Fly to Los Cabos (SJD) and Travel Overland to La Paz
Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) is located about 43.5 km north of San José del Cabo. It is the sixth busiest airport in Mexico and offers numerous direct international flights.
Several ground transportation options are available directly from SJD Airport to La Paz:

Ferry
La Paz is accessible by passenger and vehicle ferry from mainland Mexico.
Baja Ferries operates overnight routes from:

- Topolobampo (≈ 8–11.5 hours)
Ferries arrive at
Pichilingue Port, approximately
20 minutes from La Paz.

Driving
La Paz can also be reached by highway from Tijuana at the U.S.–Mexico border.
