Key Tasks:
The MEQ Committee's area of responsibility is to promote and coordinate marine environmental quality and interdisciplinary research in the northern North Pacific. This would include understanding the sources and fates of contaminants found in the marine environment, the ecology of harmful algal blooms, marine environmental quality aspects of mariculture, and the transport and introduction of non-indigenous species and stocks.
